THE REVIEW

What a great, easy, and healthy breakfast smoothie! It’s the perfect way to wake up. The berries, orange, and Greek yogurt bring in the tartness, but the banana evens everything out to perfection with just the right about of sweetness. I look forward to drinking this when I get up in the morning, which makes me a little more inclined to get out of bed every morning.

Speaking of getting up earlier, I’ve been trying to get back in a workout routine by waking up early, eating a good breakfast, and working out. I’ve gotten back in the swing of working out and am doing so in style with my newest workout accessory, the Hoo-rag!

GIVEAWAY

I’m giving away 3 Hoo-Rags!

I asked myself the same thing. What the heck is a Hoo-rag? Hoo-rags are seamless bandana that can be worn a number of ways. They’re really popular with runners, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts because they provide warmth, sun protection, and can even work as sweatbands or headbands.

Hoo-Rag Sunflower DesignThis is my favorite design, called sunflower, and here are all the ways you can wear it. Seriously, it’s amazing how simple this thing is, but it really gets the job done!

Why I’m diggin’ it

While Hoo-rags seem a little bit strange and ridiculous when you just look at them, they’re actually really great for working out, especially if you’re like me and you have short hair that flies all over the place all. the. time. While most headbands I use come out of my hair every time I move an inch, the Hoo-rag fits my head perfectly-and I have a pretty large head. It keeps me dry from sweat when I’m working out, and let’s face it, the design I have is pretty cool.

Secondly, I hate the cold, that’s why I never run in the winter. The hoo-rag gives me a little more motivation to do so. I wear it as the neck warmer to keep my neck warm while I’m running. Problem solved!

  1. Hoo-rag, who knew?! That video is great (haha!) and the pattern above is gorgeous. These seem perfect for my anti-headband shaped head — I desperately need something to tame my locks.

I have quite a few New’s Years resolutions. The first is to floss daily, and I have to tell you, it’s not going perfectly, but it’s going. The rest of my resolutions are a list of goals to accomplish before the end of the year: http://stayhealthy-stayhappy.com/2012/12/28/2013-resolutions-goals-and-aspirations/

  2. yayyyy hoorags! Did I mention I was excited about this? Weird that my resolution is also to start flossing… and I’ve done it almost every day! That and call my parents once a week. And write in my journal twice a week. And stop saying “like.”
    I make a lot of resolutions…

  3. My new year’s resolution was to give up soda…and I haven’t had one yet! Yay me!

And now I’m thinking I should start drinking smoothies, because I have a very underused blender and I used to love them.

  4. That looks blooming yummy! Check you out with your smoothie goodness, I am going to have to go try that spinach and peach for my work out! I am also reaching for my ebay account as we speak to purchase this brilliant looking Hoo-Rag , Thank you! πŸ˜€ Happy New Year to you! X

  5. My New Year’s Resolution is to engage in some sort of physical activity every day and to give up diet coke! I’ve been trying to give up diet coke for about 4 years now, and my record is 1 month. I’m hoping the exercise will make me so thirsty that it won’t be appetizing!

  6. HooRag! Love it! Hahaha
After reading to floss daily… I should probably put that on my list.
NYR: Start paying on my college federal loans… woo… -_-
And to loose the 30pounds I gained while going to school!
